Videotaped attack has Arlington Heights connection
Did you see that awful videotaped attack that occurred in Bridgeport on Sunday afternoon? We are including the link here, but warn that it is very disturbing. The boy being beaten is doing OK considering what could have happened, he suffered bruises and cuts only.
There is an Arlington Heights connection to this crime as one of the juveniles charged is a 16-year-old from Arlington Heights. He recently moved to AH from Bridgeport. The Arlington Heights youth is one of five juveniles being charged for aggravated battery. The boy that was beaten is a 17-year-old Curie High School senior. The Arlington Heights boy is enrolled in high school, but his lawyer would not name the school.
All the other suspects are from Chicago. In all, three male 15-year-olds, two male 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old female were charged with robbery and aggravated battery in the assault that made headlines after the beating was posted on YouTube.
The 17-year-old suspect, Raymond Palomino, of the 3500 block of South Hoyne, was charged as an adult.
