Mount Prospect man convicted of domestic battery
21-year old Lewis J. Hill III of the 2200 block of Delaware Drive will spend 16 days in jail for striking his girlfriend’s two sons, a 7-year-old and his 6-year-old sibling, with a board and a belt. The Cook County judge that sentenced the Mount Prospect man also granted a one-year order of protection against the man.
The children had talked about the abuse to a “mandated reporter” of abuse who then notified state authorities. A mandated reporter is a worker in certain professions who must make reports if they reason to believe abuse or neglect. A example of these professions are: physicians, teachers, child care workers, law enforcement officers, etc.
