Elk Grove Village Beer Theft

A 24-year-old was arrested by Elk Grove Village police on February 17, 2012 after he left the Biesterfield Road Jewel Osco without paying for six cases of beer.

Uriel Sanchez Ortiz, of the 0-100 block of Windsor Drive in Mount Prospect, IL, had three prior arrest warrants for his earlier 2006 charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol my a minor, plus warrants for violating the terms of his discharge and supervision. Bail was set at $33,000 for all four charges and his next court date is March 1.
