DCFS investigate death of Mount Prospect baby

Sad story over the weekend, police and Illinois child welfare are investigating abuse allegations following the death of 4-month-old Anna Belle Chung, of Mt Prospect, who died Saturday at Children’s Memorial Hospital.

The baby suffered injuries at an unlicensed daycare center in the 4200 block of Crimson Dr in Hoffman Estates.  Police were called to the day care center on Wednesday April 18, with a report that the baby was not breathing.   “There was no outward signs of trauma’’ on the child, the police said.

The parents are not being investigated.

Update:  An autopsy was inconclusive and was pending investigation, according to a spokesman for the medical examiner’s office.
